The interest in yoga and meditation has grown exponentially in the last few years. It’s no longer considered a niche interest but instead an essential component of a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

Today, many business leaders, sports stars, and people in the arts credit part of their success to a regular mindfulness practice. This curiosity has also increased the need for trained yoga and meditation teachers.

ABOUT

The Balanced Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training is an international,
in-depth education in yoga. It provides students with the knowledge and tools they need to start teaching and sharing yoga with others. It is suitable for personal trainers, physical therapists and life coaches who may want to incorporate yoga and meditation into their programs. The training is also designed to serve those who simply want to deepen their own yoga practice and learn more about both the philosophy and science behind it.

In 2023 we are offering trainings in Singapore, Bali, and Sweden.

UPCOMING TRAININGS


The Balanced Yoga & Mediation Training is an international training suitable for students from a variety of backgrounds. In 2023 trainings will be held in Singapore, Bali, and Europe.

At this time, we are accepting applications for our Singapore training starting in January 2023.

There are currently both a weekday and a weekend program open for application. 
Both cohorts start with one introductory week of intensive daily training on January 30 - February 5. After the first week, the Weekday Group meets weekly, with a short break for school holidays, while the Weekend program gets together every other weekend.

 

As the two programs run in parallel, should a student miss a session, it is possible to attend the corresponding class with the other cohort.

CURRICULUM

The Balanced Yoga & Meditation training is a comprehensive yoga education containing the following elements:

  • What is Yoga? An introduction to the philosophy practice and science behind yoga

  • Yoga asana: poses, postures, and sequencing your own yoga class

  • Yoga anatomy: learn how muscles, ligaments, and bones move and are impacted by yoga asana

  • Pranayama and breathing exercises: obtain deep knowledge about the science of the breath

  • Meditation: discover and learn about different meditation techniques to practice and teach

  • Yoga philosophy: the foundation of the practice and how yoga is much more than postures

  • Yoga history: yoga is more than 2000 years old. Learn how it evolved through the millennia.

  • Pedagogy and the role and responsibilities of a yoga teacher

  • Yoga off the mat: kindness and awareness in action how to practice yoga outside the classroom

COMPLEMENTARY YOGA CLASSES OUTSIDE OF THE TRAINING

In addition to the training, students are strongly encouraged to attend weekly yoga classes and maintain their own yoga practice. From experience, we know that students who practice outside of the course will have a more positive experience and a stronger knowledge base to build on.  To facilitate this, all classes with Balanced Yoga & Meditation Training faculty are FREE during the duration of the course

Application

HOW TO APPLY

The Balanced Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training is open to students with a minimum of one year of regular yoga practice. Eligible students can register their interest by filling in the form below to receive the full application package.


We're looking for motivated students and teachers-to-be. Being a yoga teacher is a wonderful vocation, but one that comes with great responsibility.  At Balanced Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training our role is to prepare you in the best way possible, and hence the training can be demanding at times. 


Upon a successful application, a registration fee of S$500 is required to reserve your spot in the program. The remainder of the fee of S$3400 is due at the latest one month before the first day of the training.

For dedicated students, who may lack the funds, there are partial scholarships available. Please indicate on the registration form if you plan to apply.



Once the full fee is transferred, your space is guaranteed. You will then receive the welcome package including the full literature list, as well as the required homework assignments to prepare for the course.

If possible, we encourage students to give themselves more than one month to prepare for the course. 



To ensure the quality of the training, the number of spaces is limited. When the course is full, prospective students are waitlisted in case of any last-minute cancellations.

OPPORTUNITIES AFTER THE TRAINING

Upon successful examination and graduation, you can apply to receive an International Registered Yoga Teacher Certification from The Yoga Alliance. This may be especially important if you want to teach internationally.

After completing the training you also have the chance to work as an assistant at the Balanced Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training, and later work as a mentor and co-teacher.

There are also opportunities to assist Anna Hultman and the other Balanced Yoga teachers at retreats, workshops, and regular yoga classes.

Anna Hultman is the Head Teacher at Balance Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training.

Anna has been practicing yoga for 20+ years and is teaching since 2003. She has extensive knowledge and experience of yoga asana, philosophy, and yoga pedagogy to make yoga accessible for everyone. She is a true teachers’ Teacher and has led a number of teacher trainings and continuing Education workshops through the years.

The program also has a carefully selected team of teachers, each one an expert in their field, whether it’s anatomy, pranayama, meditation, or yoga history and more.
